I can delete the threads, but I appear to lack the credentials to ban him. Surprised it took He Who Shall Not be Named that long to find these forums!

I thought about deleting threads, but it's almost more fun to berate him if he keeps it up.

Especially when he would never get the reference about the person I compared him to!

He keeps posting new threads, so I've opted to delete. Too bad banning isn't an option.

Yes, the trick is to have the ability to monitor and block IP addresses. If he kept creating accounts, we could track the IP addresses to his provider and log a complaint, which is generally not a good thing for the customer.

Frosty could likely do that, but I do not think that we are going to see him around here any more.

No real inside story. He started these forums for us, but has not spent much time on them himself. He is busy with other things.

Did he or does he work for HP? There were a number of people who joined after I left.

He worked for HP and presumably still does. He "shepherded" The Next Bench forums, and put a lot of effort into them. He created these boards to give us somewhere to go after The Next Bench folded.

Frosty is still with HP.

Its too bad. I enjoyed talking with frosty. I guess his super top secret hp stuff keeps him too busy these days. Either that or HP has adpoted a policy that forbids its employees from using non company forums. Either is equally plausable

I really don't get what the point of spamming forums is though as a whole. I have moderated a couple forums over the years and for some reason these people (weather the actual people or there spam bot software) make these accounts and spam crap using them. Other then maybe some lulz the person may get reading the responses what is the point? It is not like anybody is stupid enough to click on the links in there article so I cant imagine it makes them money.

The only thing I can think of is somewhere somebody is stupid enough to pay these people to "advertise" for them. Little do they know this consists of nothing more then spamming where it is not clicked.

I say the best thing to do with these threads is to turn them into our usual off topic random nonsensical nonconstructive and in some cases noncoherent chit chat.

Between Seamaster and me, we have been deleting wig threads daily. It is quick and easy to do, so if the poster is trying to be annoying he/it has not really succeeded. I am assuming that no one has clicked on the links.

Shame I haven't seen one released with the 580 gpu yet from MSI.

Right now I am leaning toward the Sager NP7282 with one or two 580s, depending on how much I would spend:

I like the specs of the MSI, but not so much the looks. Not sure I could live with that, but then I have been told lately that my tastes are too conservative and boring. Nevertheless, the Sager, to me, looks much cleaner.
