Re: Tha Retirement Countdown
I loved the Malcolm in the Middle episode where the Harvard teacher takes over the class and ranks all of the kids. Malcolm makes such an effort to be number 1, that the teacher eventually refers to him as Number 1 to the power of 13. Priceless.

Re: Tha Retirement Countdown
Malcom in the Middle is always on back-to-back episodes when I am at the gym, so I see it every morning when I lift.
My favorite from an episode this morning: Malcom's mother was going through the laundry and complaining that he was not wearing the underwear that she bought. He told her, "I want to wear briefs!" She tsk-tsked and replied, "Oh, I know that you wish that you needed the extra space, but let me assure you, you are getting WAY ahead of yourself." Malcom turned into the camera and delivered this gem:
"Just once, I would like to have a childhood memory that I don't have to repress."

Reminds me of the episode where Malcolm calculated the number of dinners it took for his family to have a pleasant dinner together. It was something horrendous like 17- or 18-point something.

Re: Tha Retirement Countdown
Ahhh, to bask in the glory that is Disney!!! Our annual passed are back in effect, so I took the boy to a brief outing to see a Jedi Training Academy show, visit most of Toontown, and a stop on Small World.
Small World was extra special today, ironically late last year I had the opportunity to meet a few HP people in the park (including ashy731 who was given the job to herd us over to the HP Support Forums if we wanted) and rode Small World with them and learned that part of the song was yodeled in one scene. We didn't hear it that day, I think the ride changes a little for the Chrismas Holiday, ...but I've been trying to catch it ever since. Today sitting in the front of the boat, I was able to pick it out!!!
Might go back later tonight, I'm taking my boy back to the area to see his first baseball game, the Angels vs. the Rays on the other side of Anaheim.
BTW, quick Disneyland parking tip I learned the hard way: save your parking stub, you can re-enter the parking garage on the same day for no extra charge.

Re: Tha Retirement Countdown
No splash mountain, I had my 5 year old in-tow. I think he just makes the 42" (or is it 44"?) height requirement for it, but won't go on it. Well, at least he wouldn't last spring, I didn't ask him today....?
Oh, and TY Iago, ...Disneyland in sensible helpings is my therapy.

I find that . . . Mildly disturbing.

Re: Tha Retirement Countdown
Want to be scared, I;ve actually looked into townhomes and condos in the area just North of the park that actually have a nice view of the fireworks Disneyland puts on. For some reason, locals hate that aspect, ...or at least so said the local papers recently.
Re: Tha Retirement Countdown
Don't you live fairly close to Disneyland as it is?

I forgot that you live in Cali, blur. Have I ever mentioned that Californians are too spoiled weather wise?
