The other nice thing is when you beat somebody at their own game (in the particular case I am thinking of life) they tend to leave you alone after that. (Higher paying job then them, More popular/friends, Nicer toys then they have. etc) I can see some cases where this could get messy if you were/are married to this person though. I also suppose it could have the reverse affect depending on the person and make them even more interested if they are a gold digger or just out to ruin your life.

So yeah in my person experience the saying the best revenge is a life well lived has held true for the most part.
