Camper Redo
A couple of months back I was looking for a used camper. All of them turned out to have major hidden problems with then. I finally ran across a cheap slide in that needed a little work. It turns out it needed a whole lot more than I thought internally frame work wise but I got it redone. We have taken it on one family trip last month (the kids are still tenting, lol) but I am looking at a second one to get to turn into a bunk house for the kids.
They only made this brand between 86 and 98
Before we picked it up, and some while stripping it out. I think the wife has some on her phone where I had the sides pulled partly off.

Re: Camper Redo
I replaced a lot of frame work, tie downs. Redid the 12v and 110 volt side wiring. Put in a newer style 30amp RV hookup also have a adapter to plug into a standard house plug. Re tiled the floor, cut out bad wood and replaced and braced up stronger than factory. Cut new bows for the room. Sealed the roof and seams. The 12v fan worked sometimes, problem with the circuit board. It had rpm control with reverse feature. I just set it for on / off full speed sucking out if needed. I will find a alternative controller for it later on. It now has a microwave, ac unit, (soon a one or two burner stove top) vent fans for stove/microwave and back side of fridge. I made the original fridge fresh air in vent where the ac unit slides out when you get on location and then you screw down a board to put it into place. Later on I want some drawer rollers to hook to it to make it even easier for one person hook up. The original twin size bed is now a full size bed that folds in half and with the futon matress we used makes a nice couch in it. Got a Toughbook CF-52 laptop for our tv for movies in it.
On the side frame where it slides in at I decided I didn't need the doors to the outside to attach the tie downs in the rear. I added wood there and cut the door way just slightly bigger to make more cabinet space. In a RV this little you need every little bit you can get. The sink drawer was missing so I made one that was over double the depth to take up and use all of the empty space there under the sink.
I got to make a drawer under the microwave, fix/ replace the sink and a few other little finishing touches before I call it done but it's close. We took it out for a 4 day outing and liked it very much.

Re: Camper Redo
Looks pretty nice, I think id sand the white paint off and give the entire cabinet a nice stain.
Re: Camper Redo
It would take more than just sanding and stain to get the rest of that wood to look good. That is why we went with the paint on them. lol
