Blocking ads and forced content
I am writing this for mrblur. https://refugees.forumotion.net/hello-again-f1/reporting-mrblur-t9.htm Its something that everybody can benefit from so I figured I would post it rather then just make a pm.
A while back I got sick of all the ads and crap on the internet, Since I did this I have not gotten 1 virus (although I didn't get that many before either)
You will need the latest version of firefox http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/
Then get noscript http://noscript.net/
Then third is adblock plus https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865/
(when you install adblock plus check off the subscription option for http://easylist.adblockplus.org/en/
and flashblock https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433/
(because the one thats integrated into noscript doesn't do what its suppose to do)
With this setup you will have to manually allow page content by right clicking and going down to noscript and clicking allow "site name"
Embedded flash objects will also appear as a white box with a play icon, In order to see them you just have to click the play icon. (I like this b/c i have a tendency to open a lot of tabs on youtube, that way they do not all play at once)
And this is unrelated but if you use download sites that have a waiting timer frequently I recommend http://skipscreen.com/

Where is Chow when you need him? We have not had a Chow-porn alert in years.

Or a duct tape update or a "I just rocked that slot" announcement. Ah, the good ol' days.

I can remember getting on the MB's on a Sunday morning as Chow was reporting-in about his Saturday night activities.

And advice on the latest radar and laser detector to buy so as to avoid the authorities while ripping along at 80 to 100 miles per hour.

Not to mention Canadian cultural events. No, wait a minute -- that really falls into the "porn" category.

I think you're confusing members. The Canadian porn coverage (aka bunnie watching) was handled by OffRhod.

No, there is no confusion. I had shifted the the good old days in general, rather than specifically Chow-related. No one could confuse the source of the Buckle Bunny updates!
