I'm actually watching what I eat. I no longer eat until I'm stuffed. I had a pleasant Turkey Day that was finished off yesterday to a trip to Disney Land. cheers

I had lasagne and baked polenta for Turkey day, so my turkey day was completely turkey-free!

Is it time to dig up the Thanksgiving trailer?

Weren't there talks about actually turning the trailer into a full-blown movie?

Roth has been planning it, but he is kind of a Guillermo del Toro kind of filmmaker; more plans than finished product. (That said, in Guillermo's case, I am anxiously awaiting Pacific Rim!)

Well, after seeing what happened with Machete, perhaps it best that these mock trailers be left as trailers. Sometimes less is more.

I rather liked Machete. The fake trailer was still better, but the movie was fun.

Oh, I thought Machete was fun too, and I own a copy. But it was merely an okay film. The trailer was great.

I do not think that the problems that the full-length Machete DID have were due to issues with expanding a fake trailer to a full-length movie; I think that the major problems were entirely due to Robert Rodriguez. His entire career has jumped the shark (or sharkboy, as the case may be.) If he ever does get Sin City 2 into production, hopefully he can rein himself in a bit.

I think Roodriguez jumped long before Sharkboy! (Yes, I know your statement was a pun of sorts, and not meant to indicate the moment of his decline.)

Self-aware statement or not, the pun is now a lifeless husk. Job well done!

Are puns ever that funny (all due respect to Shakespeare)?

Shakespeare was a god; the rest of us are cows. Complete the metaphor for yourself.

A bard who wrote for cows? No wonder the fates disappeared.

Ah, the greatest stream-of-conciousness insult of all time, from King Lear:

(Thou art) "A knave; a rascal; an eater of broken meats; a
base, proud, shallow, beggarly, three-suited,
hundred-pound, filthy, worsted-stocking knave; a
lily-livered, action-taking knave, a whoreson,
glass-gazing, super-serviceable finical rogue;
one-trunk-inheriting slave; one that wouldst be a
bawd, in way of good service, and art nothing but
the composition of a knave, beggar, coward, pandar,
and the son and heir of a mongrel bitch: one whom I
will beat into clamorous whining, if thou deniest
the least syllable of thy addition."
