The movie ends with the 55' running a black el camino, In the middle of the race the film gets caught in the projector gate causing the film to burn. It is quite possibly one of the best movie endings ever. It is fits very well with the rest of the movie. Some interprete it to mean they went on racing that way for ever. Others interprete it to mean they finally blew the up the 454. (based on the way the scoup was shacking in the last few seconds)

TLB is the kind of thing you either love or hate, But I guess thats what makes it a cult movie.
