I am sure if you didnt want it I or ADOR would purchase the omen case off of you.

That being said I would keep the omen and build it out. You could build a pc to use at home in it for as little as $500 and still buy a laptop for gaming/road use. (Cheaper if you buy some used components)

Oh and you own the cpu so it seems like a no brainer.

That is a tough call. What do you have to game on the road now and how often are you on the road?

i don't have anything to game on except my work laptop. I haven't traveled since january went to Brazi for a month and half. Now I'm being assigned to visit customer that will require overnite stays and with all the RIF(nice way of saying layoffs). It seems I will be doing a lot more traveling, so gaming laptop is in order.

I might do what East said buy the laptop and spend about 500 to get the Omen up and running.

I am happy with the decision to stick with the one computer, a DTR laptop. Simplifies things for me. That said, I would not want to be carrying it around every day. It all comes down to how and where you are going to use it. Your mileage may vary.

Yes it sucks carrying a DTR replacement I carried that thing around for two years. One of the reason I'm looking at 15inch instead of 17 also the weight is a big weight difference 13lbs vs 6 lbs and thats not including the power supply.

Carrying the NP9262 as a carry on did not allow me to have extra change of cloths. I paid for it when I got to Portland my luggage was not there. argh. Anyway it will make it a lot easier to travel and game on.

The other option would be to build the omen into an all powerful gaming monster and get an ultra portable for road use.

East I need to game or I would be surfing all the porn sites. Plus I have a work laptop that has all the software I need for work. I did manage to transfer most of the programs to my sons laptop I need for work. I keep placing a call to our IT help desk trying to see if I get someone that would install or VPN with their certificates and SAP(biggest obstacle I'm having with installing it correctly).

I rather play some games all night and dooze off while everyone is speaking.

ewwwwwwwww, SAP. My company has swapped to that. Even though I know how to work it now I still hate it.

i'd go laptop = keep it portable just in case you have to keep things light when you slip out of the house unexpectedly

I'd go with a mid-level gaming laptop. It'll do just fine for gaming on the road, and I'm sure it'll handle your porn too. Didn't you wreck your son's computer one year because you visited too many questionable sites?

Just make sure that you get plenty of hard drive space to store the porn and everything will work out fine.

He may even want to go SSD--to ensure speedy access.

Exactly, he made not be able to hold out if he has to wait for the hard drive to spin up.
