I got this used Alienware M9750 used on ebay. It was never really gamed on before, graphic design. After I got it I played games on it some but not all the time. Here lately I have been having the computer lock up on the some, and it takes a restart to get it to work again. I have been keeping it blown out good and it's on a two fan cooling pad. It stays in the 60 DEG when doing most tasks. When I game It has been around 86 to 87 deg, but I have caught it going up a little higher here lately. I have seen it at 92 deg. Do you think it may be time for new paste or pads? It has a 8700gt card in it, single card. Just don't want to burn it up as I like the computer.

repaste and a good clean out. I suggest running those fans at 100% all times if you want that bad boy to keep on ticking.

If you intend to keep it running for a long time to come I would say it is about due for a regel. I can tell you from first hand experience you can never get all of the dust out without completely dissembling the unit and taking the shrouds off of the heatsink fans.
