Tha 88' GTA
Picked her up about a week ago, near mint and dirt cheap po wanted her gone before the winter (family complications) so I got a rock bottom deal on her.
New:
flow master exaust
cooper zeon radials
rear brakes
(shocks and struts, or they appear to be)
Needs a bunch of misc to make it flawless but id say its a 91 point car.
On the list:
Drivers side mirror glass
Rear view mirror
door parameter weatherstripping
(might as well do door frame and hatch weather stripping, its not far behind)
reverse light bulb (out)
fog light bulb (out)
power antenna
side window glass both sides (eventually, both sides have a chunk missing out of them, roof racks? roof paint has a couple of deep gouges too)
Hatch alignment (over hanging quarters just like the 83)
Paint on the wrap around spoiler is horrible and it has some cracks (getting taken down fixed and repainted)
Passenger side quarter marker light is cracked
Repo spid and vin labels (idiots never put them back after repaint, found an official gm licensed reproduction company) http://www.ecsvin.com/ Might order some other labels while im at it depending on how they look.
Drivers door hinge pins (sagging slightly)
Drivers door side skirt paint (door rubbed it off)
Roof c pillar trim (why is it no matter how nice an example of one of these cars I find this is always broken?)
Drivers door sill plate.
Power mirror switch (a bit flaky adjusting both mirrors to the left)
2 power window switches (because the print is worn off and what the hell the correct ones are only $20 ea from classic)
Some slop in drivers door handle (have a repo one for it, Will see if i can find nos gm first.)
coolant system bucket when coolant system is serviced (washer bucket has a sensor on it, probably cant get a suitable replacement with the sensor cutout so I will just leave it as its not that bad)
Drivers door panel has a small tear on the insert.
Stainless brake and fuel lines (had enough old cars now to know better)
Most of it is nit picking.

Just remember: he meant the tires, not the engine!

Re: Tha 88' GTA
That is correct. I spent two weeks back on the 52 Ford on and off last time home. The next to the last day home I had the harness finished, Built my own harness for MSD 6a box (original 70's unit) looks different than the newer ones to the Duraspark distributor , dash gauges in and wired, new aluminum radiator in, transmission lines formed and installed and about 30 trips to the parts store. Went to fire it up and everything sounded fine but no fire to the plugs. It was later in the day, just ran out of time. Next time home I should have a video of it up.
