I will probably bid what I can afford on it. I am sure ADOR will do the same. Thanks for the heads up.

I didn't see it in the auction, Are you including the binder, paperwork and recovery discs?

Yep, I will be looking to bid. I just got back to work so I can't bid like I want too. I still kick my ass for not getting that one that popped up on ebay the same time the signed one went up. Then I focused on the signed one, then he took it down. Besides what you put in the auction what do you know about it? What kind of other vintage computers do you have?

Pretty much everything I know about the history of the PC I put in the auction description. I know he used it has his main computer up until 2009, then he replaced it with a Digital Storm system. I put it in storage immediately after I purchased it from him, so most of what I listed is what he told me. I was planning to eventually install the new mobo and have this system up and running but I have to many other projects going on right now.

I have a Voodoo Rage SLI (v2), Falcon Northwest ICON (silverstone TJ03), Alienware Predator 1 (cyborg green), Coolermaster ATC-110 and the others aren't worth mentioning.

Unfortunately he did not give me the voodoo branded binder. This is what will be included as well:

Voodoo introduction page
Voodoo system configuration/ benchmark page
Voodoo recovery CDs
replacement Asus P4C800-E Deluxe
power cable
misc cables (SATA, HDD)
misc hardware (mobo backplate, screws, bracket)
manuals (mobo, audigy)
driver CD's (mobo, audigy, plextor)
self burnt restore CDs

Nice. I always had a soft spot for that model. Realistically, how current could you make that model? I know the Zalman case has cooling limitations, hence the modest hardware, which was modest even back in they day when it was built.

That is the main drawback to the fancy cases -- space. If not cooling limitations, then upgradability limitions, which of course was the Achille's heel of my RAGE. I definitely want to see what East can pull off with it.

I am still looking into what modern components I can fit into it. Of course budget is also a concern. I am leaning toward an intel x79 LGA 2011 based build. The only chip currently out for the platform is the 1k extreme edition. More realistically priced processors are scheduled for release next month. The x79 architecture allows for up to 64gb of ram and the particular gigabyte board I am looking at supports pcie 3.0 cards in both sli and crossfire configurations.

Here is a link I am going to have to make sure the board physically fits in the case and I have enough standoffs from the old mobo configuration, I have not gotten that far into it yet.

I don't suppose the old noisetaker is going to be a sufficient power source either. About my only option is a single rail cooler master. You start getting into multi rail 1kw and up power supplies they are all eatx which I think would interfere with the optical drive mounting location. I will have to measure for sure. At least there is no light box up there to get in the way.

I think I am going to go with the Noctua DH-D14 this time around. Its not the most aesthetically pleasing but people cant seem to say enough good things about its cooling capabilities and near silent operation.

Either way, it'll be interesting to see what one of you end up doing with the F50.

I still can't believe what some people pay. I got my white m80 working and in very good shape for just a hair over 200, then a couple of weeks later a gold/yellow color one beat to hell come up and it fetches top dollar. I guess it just depends on who is on at the time. There is a green envy on there that has been dropping in price. It's the second or third time I have seen it relisted, has case, leather folder and other voodoo accessories but for one with a dead motherboard it seems kind of steep.

I have been watching the green one too. He purchased it off of somebody else on ebay to fix. If he was unable to fix it it is more then likely a motherboard issue. I do like the aluminum case that is included in the auction.

Ah, So based on that logic my near mint condition green 703 in running condition should be still worth a hefty 2k. Selling my Voodoo Eden Rage F:50 Thlol And here I thought it had devalued to around $600.

Well I am fairly certain I am out. Between lack of funds and the fact I already have too damn many projects I think I am going to let it go. Good luck ADOR. (And mr. blur if you were serious about bidding)

/Now to see about those s&w sub frame connectors so I have them in time for this spring.

I just got that M11X R1 so that messed up most of my play money. I may go a couple of dollars higher than I am now, but not much more. If my youngest two boys birthdays weren't coming up I would dig a little deeper. I got two more toughbooks sold but that money won't be available for a week or so more. Timing, it gets me every time.
