i was thinking about getting one for my basement man-cave. This particular model is from a company in Calgary, you know then seamaster?

It uses Ceramic heaters to produce far-infrared instead of the water on hot coals?

Would luv to grt into this after a bike ride or a workout and relax...

I have used one and they work, but lack moisture. I much prefer an old-school sauna with steam and moisture. That said, for in-home, there is a huge argument for staying away from something that creates excess humidity and moisture. You have enough of that in Ontario.

I don't know anything about the company, but I have seen their line carried in stores (for whatever that is worth).

If it lacks moisture couldn't you just bring a bucket of water in with you? Heat + Water = humidity

You'd need a heat source to create steam out of water you bring in with you. Because the unit uses infrared technology, the rays heat up your body and not so much the surrounding air temperature. When you first get in one, it doesn't feel any warmer than from the room in which you came.

It's like sitting on a deck in direct sunlight versus sitting in the shade. The ambient temperature between the two isn't that different, but it feels much hotter in direct sun because the sun's rays are penetrating and warming your body.
