Signs of life?

I just went to Battle: Los Angeles last weekend accompanied by the friend with whom I originally saw Monsters. He said that he picked up the Blu-Ray for the latter and had the same reaction that I did; while we both enjoyed the movie on a first viewing, we LOVED it on a second viewing. I think that the first viewing is necessary to make the viewer really grasp what the movie is about and more importantly, what it is NOT about. The "making of" documentary on the disc also really gives you an appreciation for just how amazing an achievement it was to make the movie at all.

And regarding the former film? Ugh. 'Nuff said.

Another one to add to my list. This will be a pricey outing!

There is an amazing moment at the end of Monsters that may well be the single most lyrical moment that you will ever see in a giant monster movie!
