Re: Somemore great music
Added it to my Amazon wishlist and will pick it up when I place my next order!
Here is a nice "live" version of one of the tracks from the Matthew Sweet/Susanna Hoffs cover albums. All that I can say is, holy cow has Sweet put on a few pounds!

Awesome. Primus + Charlie Daniels + stop motion animation = can't go wrong.

Slash is the highlight of this cover:
I wanted to find the version done by Body Count, which is one of the best covers I've ever heard of "Hey Joe." However, audio seems to have been disabled for most of the files. I found a few live versions, but the quality is abysmal.

Of course, the irony is that even Hendrix's version is a cover . . .
. . . and of course, you realize that forces me to do this:

Re: Somemore great music
Very nice. That brings me to this cover:
I had never heard of Martin Luther McCoy prior to this film, but he has a fantastic voice. (His duet on "Don't Let Me Down" later in the film is also great. If you have not seen Across the Universe, get to it!

If you recall, I was the one who told you that you must see the movie before it was no longer in theatres. I love the movie and the soundtrack is amazing.

Huh. Must be true, because I did not end up seeing it until I blind-bought the Blu-Ray. That T.V. Carpio version of "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" is one of the greatest covers of any kind of all time. Even Eve likes it, and she does not care for The Beatles.
There are some other great covers, though:

Re: Somemore great music
Very cool cover. Here is another. The video is poor, but the audio quality is decent:

Re: Somemore great music
The video was practically nonexistant. Have you heard this version of the same song? (Another poor video.) Lennon was in his mid twenties when he wrote the song, but it takes on real resonance sung by a man who would die shortly afterwards:

Yes, the fan-made videos are poor at best. Interesting, though -- do you know which album that came from? I have his version of the song on Radio One, but this version sounds different.
Not the Beatles, but a cover (and another Stanley Jordan as well):

I'm not sure about the Fiddle - but I do like the Waterboys. I saw them twice live in their heyday - magnificent shows.
I heard this on the radio this morning - definitely one of my favorites.

That reminds me a lot of the velvet underground
Re: Somemore great music
The Velvet Underground would be my all-time favorite band. If only I had been in Europe when they reunited in 1993:

Nuttin' wrong with that.
I could not find any "live" videos of Cray with Collins and Copeland, so you have to settle for another silly fan video:
