Re: My ALienWare experience or Adventure
My first HP laptop was a old single core I bought new. My second one was a HP TX1420. It had a ton of bloatware on it,( turned out to be a waist of 1200 too and when the guys buy new stuff and bring it out to the rig theirs have been loaded too. Toshiba has a ton of stuff on them also. If they got it from best buy, best buy has all of there apps and stuff they put on it too. A new toshiba netbook from bestbuy a guy bought new had it two weeks before he got to the rig and was talking about how slow it was. I looked at it. 91 processes after turn on. I went on a deleting and tweaking spree. If you haven't used it yet try out the UWT. ULTIMATE WINDOWS TWEAKER for vista and 7. It has a lot of the hidden setting for windows in one place on a easy to use GUI interface. I have cut stock shut down time in half or more with it.

Re: My ALienWare experience or Adventure
If you notice HP was trying to market them self with the slogan "The computer is personal again" Aside from "again" seeming to be a false statement (When did a mainstream manufacture ever offer a truly unique / personalized pc?) If you notice HP never really made them that personal either. The extent of this slogan / marketing campaign seems to be a couple of special edition pavilions and that's it. This campaign was going on right around the time that HP acquired voodoo pc. I have not really heard the slogan used recently so I am thinking that marketing campaign died with voodoo.
Well regardless good luck with it mr. blur.

Re: My ALienWare experience or Adventure
Lack of blood flow causes things to fall off, so going limp is actually a good thing.
