the Spartacus actor Andy Whitfield will not be returning as he is fighting cancer for a 2nd time. Wish him luck.
they've narrowed the choice to 3 replacements.
Personally i like the crixus gaul character better.

They are currently runnning a prequel mini-series until they decide what to do with the main series. Blood and Sand had its up and downs, but it definitely redeems itself in the final episode, which really makes the thought of where they are going to go with a follow-up series really interesting.

yes i'm currently watching part 1 of 3 of Gods of the Arena. The young Batiatus is great too ).
