VooDoo Rage F5 or Omen V1, OBTAINED!!!

Thats the Mouse that comes with the Blackbird if I am not mistaken... I have seen this mouse before, and honestly I don't like it... but maybe because I have never tried it...
the keyboard on the other hand looks awsome...

Friend of mine swears by the deathadder. That is a deathadder 3.5g though. They are probably similar enough you could swap the internals.

I may be able too, have to check it out later on. But for now I have my case. I still haven't swapped the guts on the keyboard yet.

so whats wrong with the old keyboard? if its internal.. I would gladly take the external case of the damged tarantula if its the Voodoo Version...

I bought it dead from ebay just because it was a voodoo Case. I also got a regular version so I could swap out the internals. I haven't swapped the internals out yet. That was the main reason I was wanting the mouse to complete a voodoo keyboard and mouse for the HEXX.

First I have to get the rest of it upgraded like I want. I was going to use the left over parts from my sons last desktop to upgrade mine with. Then I decided to put in about the same thing he had in his new desktop. 2.7 x6 phenom 2, 16 GB ram, SSD drive. So I made a tiger direct order. Still trying to get my 10 dollars back from them on that one. They shipped it to the wrong address, it was returned. Then they canceled the order and kept my 10 dollars for shipping but I did get the rest of my money back at least. Talking to customer support hasn't helped. "You can just re-order." Told them yes I can at about 80 dollars higher because the items aren't on sale anymore. Needless to say I won't, EVER, be ordering anything else from them.

So back to my original plan with it. Going to use the HP(ironic isn't it) motherboard, Phenom X 3, 2.3 Cpu, 6 GB DDR2 ram, and keep the current 250gts video card and power supply ( I do have a modular power supply to swap if it needs it). . I have a Intel X-25 160GB SSD on hand and a 2.5 500GB 7200 Rpm drive in the mail for it. I am also looking at upgrading the CPU cooler and haven't decided on what to use yet. Should have something ordered soon.

It has a dual core 2.6 operton, 4gb ram DDR1, 250 2.5" 5400 RPM hard drive, 250 GTS in it right now. It did have dual 7900 GTS/KO's in it with aftermarket coolers. All of those parts will go off into another case. I am sure the kids will keep it wound up with Minecraft. May go with different video cards. After a hour or so with Minecraft on high I was getting few errors. Why I swapped to the GTS out of my older HP desktop.

Pretty little beast... and wouldn't mind having one of them, but I am looking for the omen 1.1 not the R version.... although if you some day think of selling this case, please contact me...

The good news is I have found a Tarantula Voodoo Keyboard... so at least I have a little red glow of hope....   

I recognize that first picture, that HEXX is the one I have now. Unless those pictures are borrowed that may be Mr Blur. I will have to read that thread when I get time.

Now that you mention it it does look identical to the pictures mr. blur was showing me. pfft opteron that sneaky bastard.

maybe mr.blur was already taken... I wanted to use the same nickname I have here ( and in many other forums) but it was taken already, probably by me, but it didn't let me log in with my asus credentials......

Yep, I don't see me getting rid of anything anytime soon, but if I did the desktop would not be on the list. I think I would even hand onto the idol.

opteron is the type processor that is in that Hexx. It might be him? Only he knows for sure. It was being used as a server when I got it off blur. A server with dual 7900 GT KO's. If you are going to do it, do it in style, lol.

Yeah, I get what you are saying... I would not let go of any of my cases, except the blackbird, and only to trade it for a voodoo omen...

I never really cared for the blackbird. Too much plastic and the hp branding... The tool less pci slot retainers always had a habit of breaking etc.

I always did like that style xps desktop you have but from what I have seen a few of the components proprietary dell (Power supply and a few other things I think) So I never did pick one up.

I kick my ass right now for not hitting the buy it now on two of them. They were put up. I was high bidder then it disappeared and auction was closed with out warning. I asked about it and didn't even get a reply. That will really piss you off the day before the auction ends.

Well, the XPS is a nice case, but like the g5, you have to get your hands dirty and bring the dremel to the party...
there is a lot of modding to be done before it can take a ATX motherboard, but the awesome part is that once done right, its an awesome case inside, with a lot of space for big motherboards and GPU... but like I said, you have to get your hands dirty first... specially fixing the glue that dell uses to fix the alu panels to the steel beams ... and then rewiring so it lights up and you can use the power button and usb/firewire...
Power supply is DELL, but the holes align perfectly to normal PSU, so buying a case without PSU will work perfectly (as it was my case)

yeah, I saw what Bill did to the xps, but I really don't think it needs a 240mm radiator on top, as you can fit one right in the front of the case...
anyway, they where going for a massive WC setup, with a 240 on the top and a 480 monsta on the front...
mine is more simpler.. I am going for a wind tunnel design... one 18cm fan at the front and two 8cm at the back...
