I am amazed at the market for that kind of thing. Mind you, it makes me glad that I can unload my own outdated equipment!

One of these days I probably will get one just because now you have me curious about it.

I was excited when I bought this thing but now I am really looking forward to getting it. Hopefully by next Saturday.

I am probably going to play in order:

Exile
Ys Book 1+2
Exile Wicked Phenomenon
Ys Book 3
Beyond Shadowgate (Because its probably going to take this long to locate a Super System Card v3.0 to play it)

Any other definitive PCE/CD games you guys know about?

When retro is not cool: My front wheel bearings are shot. I have the car in today for new tires and a wheel alignment, and, now, wheel bearings. Apparently retro is not cool when that means the good in question is past its best. The bill when I pick up my car is not going to be pretty.

That does suck but try 6k cash in one week fixing a car that a family member wrecked in the stupidest way possible.

The car did come out nice though but I was cleaning it after I picked it up and now I see some rust starting on the lip of the quarter.

. . . try fixing the garage door that you left open for your wife to go to work, and she hit the button on the opener out of habit prior to backing out, and backed right into the garage door . . .

The short version is my grandfather hit a bush when making a turn and totaled it. I wont go into the specifics. The bumper, hood, upper and lower rad support rad, condenser, rad fans, some splash shields and brand new headlights I put on 1 day prior were all destroyed. Nobody was hurt (apparently not even the bush) and he no longer drives.

He allowed me to acquire any parts I wanted to. I brought him junkyard parts and he did an immaculate job with them. The pictures really cant do his work justice, It came out immaculate, At least its a good indication on how the firebird will come out when they do the exterior. He will be doing the floors soon, As soon as he puts a C3 back together that is in the middle of his shop. I am impatiently waiting. Something retro - Page 4 Thlol

I was about to say that you win, except for the fact that my wife is still driving, which means we are still at risk!

Oh, it is so. Now when I get back from the gym, I close the garage door even if she is leaving within the next two minutes. I learned my lesson about trying to be considerate!

The seller said he was going to ship it in 2 boxes, I got the first box and the system appears to be in good shape. The way he packed it I have to wait for the 2nd box to test it, As the cd module itself and all of the games are in the other box. All of the promised accessories were in this box though and in good condition with the exception of the rf adapter.

I am still optimistic that the 2nd box may appear today, But given my luck probably not.

I have been looking for a US Super System Card 3.0 since I won this and last night was the last straw. I finally found somebody that had one for sale and I msged them and they came back at me with an offer of $290. With that I bought a Japanese one for $12, $15 shipped straight from japan. A region mod will be soon to follow, As soon as I verify it works and am confident enough to rip apart the tg16.

But for $290, I could pay somebody to region mod it and buy the Japanese SSC 3.0 and still be ahead. Oh that and the ability to play Japanese hu card games. You can play American cd games fine with the JP SSC 3.0 so it seems only logical to go for the cheaper of the 2...
