Season four of Breaking Bad is due on DVD and Blu-Ray at the end of June. Not too long to wait!

Re: A Little Bit of Black Keys and Breaking Bad
I am almost disappointed that it appears they are going to go for one mores season after that. They kept the quality level up for three seasons for sure, and from what I have read it appears that four was no letdown, but keeping the show going too long is really pressing their luck. I like that fact that the producers of Battlestar Galactica made the decision to end it after four seasons, and they did not make that decision at the last minute, either. To wrap things up properly, you really need more than the last couple of episodes to do it. (Like how rushed the last half of season two of Rome was once they found out they ran out of money.) But for goodness' sake, it better avoid not ending things at all due to cancellation, like Deadwood!

Re: A Little Bit of Black Keys and Breaking Bad
Season 5 is supposed to be the final season and I understand that decision was made before Season 4 wrapped up. So, the Breaking Bad team will have an entire season to wrap things up properly. And I have also heard that Season 4 is outstanding.
Nevertheless, I agree that five seasons might be pushing it. To be honest, I really enjoyed the double life Walter lived in the earlier episodes and I was a little sad when that was abandoned, although it would have been silly to keep it going for too long. However, that plays into your argument of having too many seasons. Just how long can they keep the ideas and story interesting?

Re: A Little Bit of Black Keys and Breaking Bad
Well, the first three seasons were certainly excellent, but I still could not help but feel that they were stretching some things out longer than necessary. I have no idea how they can keep the momentum going through the final season, but hope springs eternal. However, I think that I would accept a bit of a falloff in quality more than I would accept the show being cancelled while unfinished.

Of all the series I've watched, I think Breaking Bad features some of the tightest writing to make it to screen. I'm hopeful that they will pull it off.

We shall see.
I have seen a ton of reviews of the premiere episode of season 2 of Game of Thrones. It is going to be deuce difficult to avoid spoiler this year!

I have been tempted by stories with photo albums, but those photos are certainly going to contain spoilers. I am simply going to have to avoid any and all references to the show for a year!

Yes, better safe than sorry in these cases. Spoilers truly can spoil an entire show. That is why I am careful not to reveal too much when we're discussing shows, especially if I know that you and I are at different points in the story.

By the way, the page is down now, but did you see Criterion's April Fool's Day joke? They announced their release of "Ivan Reitman's landmark film Kindergarten Cop." Since it is gone I cannot link to it, but here is a story that contains most of the info:

No, I hadn't seen the joke. Pretty good considering it's a pretty bad movie.

Criterion does something like that every year. They also posted a fake picture of Akira Kurosawa visiting the set, among others.

It could be $2.99 with free shipping and I still wouldn't buy it.

Hey, I spent $8.99 on the Nineties-era Gamera trilogy on Blu. Worth every penny, and then some!

I'll take a giant turtle over a poorly done zombie any day.
Have you read anything on the supposed upcoming Universal Monster release on Blu-ray? I understand we might get Dracula, the Spanish version of Dracula, Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein. I'd like to see more added to that list, but will take what I can get.
