Power cable for my voodoo envy133

Travelling to school is a pain to the voodoo adapter, it is scratched all over

But it worked, but now the problem going from the adapter to the pc doesnt work anymore, bad connection in the wire or sumtin

SO does anyone have a spare or know where to buy one???

Your best bet at this point is to contact iMaxx (Ryan) (imaxx@hp.com) or buy one off of ebay. Should you buy one off of ebay make sure to find out if you are buying an authentic hp adapter. A lot of sellers will try to deceve you into buying there item by showing a photo of an authentic adapter and charing good money. (see my comment farther down on "compatible" adapters)

If i remember correctly the 133 has something else intergrated into the power adapter (I want to say optical drive, but it might have been wifi) You will lose this functionality if you use a generic adapter

If it is just a broken wire and you have basic electronic repair skills you should be able to fix it your self. (provided you are comfortable working on a power supply unit)

I would not use a "compatible" / after market adapter. I am speaking out of experience when I say they do damage laptops, And the sellers (often in china) are not responsible.

In addition to a compatible adapter possibly damaging your laptop you will most likely void any outstanding warranty.

The Envy 133's power brick had a wifi connection to the Envy, if you don't need that feature a 65w AC adapter from HP will also work.

The old one works if kept at the same plave all the time, so a cheap without wifi would be nice for school usage

The L2000 adapter is rated at 18.5V 3.5A 65W

What are the specs of the original adapter?

19V 2.95A, on eBay all the listings say that it works with the envy 133.... :S

So would it work?? (pretty close specs ) But won't take any chances with my beloved envy.

And most HPs use same connection?
