I have never heard them, no, but they sound cool. Speaking of the Black Keys, I do need to thank you for getting me into them!

That track from Portishead, along with the rest of the album, requires repeat listening. Their music usually does not really get to you on a first or even a second listen. But now that I have listened to the album more than a dozen times, its qualities have really revealed themselves to me. Kind of like Al Swearengen!

I have felt the same way about all three of The Arcade Fire's albums. On a first listen, I was entirely unimpressed. A second listen did not change that very much. But after several listenings, all three albums have risen very high on my list of favorite albums.

This is one of my favorites of their songs. I have included a "fan" video of the album version, since the pipe organs and children's choir are a bit hard to reproduce live on stage:

I can't find the live performance or anything other than a fan video, so I apologize. However, see if this Dylan cover is enough to bring you back from the cliff edge:

Nice.

More Dylan covers. You will not loke Tom Verlaine's Voice, but Verlaine and Richard Lloyd can really play:

Very good playing. I like.

Bad voices that are good to listen to:

Not sure if I would necessarily refer to Cohen's voice as bad, though it is certainly not classicly "good," but I know what you mean.

Try Tom Waits through a megaphone:

That was a non-embedder, but I love the song and agree that Cash is my one Country exception.

I will throw this one at you, even though I am sure that you hate Lou Reed's voice. This video is awesome, though:

It looks like it was directed by Parker and Stone.

If you want to go the "memorable" video route, I will have to trot out this one. They did a show on MTV years ago where they listed the top ten videos that they would therefter ban and never play again. This is truly one of the most godawful videos from the Eighties. Of course, that makes it compulsively watchable:

That video is so bad that apparently the content has been copyrighted and blocked in my country.

Sadly, that one was NOT blocked in my country!

The quality of this one is pretty poor, but it is from the Cyndi Lauper video "Live in Paris" from the late Eighties. She had a fantastic band for that tour (and yes, that is Rick Derringer on guitar.) Her introduction to "She Bop" is included and it is a classic:

I fail because I'm not responding with music, but I couldn't resist responding with this segment from another training montage:

Yes, that works, but only if you define music in a fairly broad sense.

Now THIS is music:

It is difficult to find good quality Southpark clips. Nevertheless, I offer this:

Yes, I tried finding a few of my favorites and they were all fan videos. The same thing with Team America's "Fuck Yeah."

How about a little rap? (It does not start until about two-and-a-half minutes into the clip, but the setup is funny too.)

I like it!

For something completely different, here is a compilation of music from Batman: The Animated Series, all of which was composed or supervised by the late, great Shirley Walker. The first part contains my all-time favorite Joker music: a weird sort of orchestral hip-hop theme that she wrote for The Last Laugh and never used again for the rest of the series. There is variety of other music, including her "official" Joker theme (the calliope-sounding music) but for some reason I just love that ominous but off-putting sound of the earlier theme:

There are some catchy tunes from that series. I like the compilation.

You once mentioned that you avoid Fleetwood Mac because you're not a fan of superbands from the 70s. Well, have a listen to this track (please excuse the fan video). This is before they were a superband and when they were led by the great Peter Green:
