Re: My voodoo collection
I had a lot more fun building a pc then I usually do when I rebuilt my stripped out omen shell back to its former glory. I cant wait to start on lago's rage.

Re: My voodoo collection
Thanks for the info guys. I won that one that is the base for the Idol. So If i never find a Idol I have that covered. I had never heard of the DOLL. Doing some reading up on it now. I had been wanting to build a portable gaming desktop, looks like the perfect case to mod up for it. I work offshore. The last 5 years has been in saudi arabia, UAE, Egypt, etc. It has been hard back and forth on my laptops, to the point I have started toting a Panasonic toughbook as my main pc. But wanted something that won't get moved but once a month with a little more kick. I looks like we need to talk cars too. I have been a gear head for years. Currently have completed 67 mustang and lots of others in various states, 1980 ford 4x4 f150, 1934 ford five window coupe, 1926 model T touring, 55 chevy 150 2door sedan gasser, 69 mustang mach 1, 88 mustang. There there is the bike and three wheelers.

Re: My voodoo collection
The base model for the doll was a shuttle, I believe the xpc. I miss the days when they made mobos and not just all in one pcs.
And if you got the aopen and are a car guy why not remove the cover and give it a quick shoot? The idols never came with a voodoo sticker on them as some pr shots would have you believe thanks to an oversight so you are good in that aspect.
Its over priced but if you are determined to get a blackbird case there is one on ebay
I am a bit confused what you bashed with what but I have a spare compal cl-5x series inverter. Should you need it let me know and I can get you the part number.

Re: My voodoo collection
Now that my idol is coming off of media center duty (Pending lago's rage) I think that the most awesome part is that It can be stored right inside its koeskin system binder. Taking precautions not to scratch it or bend up the paperwork of course.
Re: My voodoo collection
I don't think I have any binders, ...which is OK, cause I barely have room for the cases
Re: My voodoo collection
But next to the tshirt the simulated leather binder are one of the most awesome parts. Speaking of which I forgot to talk to lago about his binder and recovery discs. Id ask about the t shirt but then Id just make him sad.
Re: My voodoo collection
When I go to fixing the screen on the M355/CL-50 I have two parts machines, one still works. I am not sure what is wrong with it. It was like that when I got it out of the box. The screen just looks dim and funny looking compared to the M360 with m355/cl-50 guts in it. I will just swap some parts and should have it then. Come to think of it now the only voodoo Idol I seen on ebay and missed out on because if forgot about it when I picked my kids up didn't have a sticker on it. The pr shots was all I have really seen on it mainly. Is the CPU removable in the Idol. I may do some upgrades too it. Guessing the Idol is passively cooled too.
This is another car project I have going on, think you guys will get a kick out of it, lol. LET THE MADNESS BEGIN OR MY WARTHOG BUILD
That is the build thread of my Halo Warthog Replica.
1952 FORD Here is some shots of my 52 ford.

Still got the whole package, and I will include it. Mind you, when I restore the thing before shipping it you will have a five-year out of date version of XP running, but you are going to be dumping all of that anyway.
The shirt that I got was an Envy shirt. I wore it out.

Re: My voodoo collection
Pretty sure I still have my shirt and it's unworn. For whatever reason, Voodoo would always send out XL shirts by default. I have never been an XL.
I wear my Voodoopalooza shirt to the gym regularly and I wear my TNB shirt that King helped source and Photo sent out. That one is a nice T.
My Voodoo is not as nice-looking as Iago's, but I do still have the binder, recovery discs and T-shirt. Problem is, I have no idea how much it'd cost to ship everything cross-border. I hardly think it would be worth the bother. The whole package weighs between 40 and 50 pounds.

That depends on the person, and what your asking for it?
Re: My voodoo collection
I think the case still has some legs, ...you'd be surprised how many people would want the case.
...and BTW, it was Frosty who got us the shirts.

Re: My voodoo collection
They are awesome shirts. Maybe HP would sell more of there basic pc's if they included shirts like those.
I can imagine the commercial on tv, [The standard hp commercial, Plug for windows 7, "Now with a free T shirt!"] Or better yet the people in the commercial would just be wearing the shirt and you would be surprised when you opened the box and found your own.

Did they happen to put the right size shirt in the box in your fantasy?

No they were all size small.
Re: My voodoo collection
Apparantly even in East's fantasies, things are too small . . .

I do miss Offie (and others). I misplaced his cell phone number some time ago, otherwise I would have given him a call.
