Well, look at it this way, if anyone can accidentally stumble across this place, it would be Cat. Unlike some others who would never stumble across it on purpose!

Somehow I always feel like if Cat would ever personally email me it would come from a:

1) MIT.edu,
2) Stamford.edu address, or
3) a hidden one because he works for Kaos.

In his case, possibly all three simulaneously!

I'm thinking he'd stay local, so I'm going with Berkeley or Princeton. Although Cat might have a thing against the ivy league folks. Maybe NJIT suits him better.

But those 2 are on different coasts, too...?

There is a Berkeley College in New Jersey too. But you are correct, the ivy league version resides in California. I wasn't thinking.

On TheNextBench, we can't stroll through threads or posts, but we can back into them from our last posts (after logging in). Right?

Would it be worth to change our Sigs. to something that reflects this site? Might mean Pinocchio finds us though...

There is nothing wrong with trying, but I think that those who have found this place through TNB have already done so. Many people gave up on TNB a long time ago. It's unlikely they'd drop by now. Still, it'd be nice to see some people like El Mago, King, and others who were posting periodically toward the end drop in here and say hello.

I hit up who I could find on Facebook, including King. He seems a mite busy right now with the store. I thought that I had OffRhod on my FB friends, but now not only can I not find him on my list, I cannot find him on FB at all. He may have deleted his account.


All kidding aside, Cat is an unusual individual with some very potent computer-related knowledge. He also seems to spend a lot of time on the internet! That is why I would not be surprised if somehow he found out about this place on his own.


And thank you, PO, for reminding me about Pinocchio! Now all that I can imagine is having him show up here along with He Who Shall Not Be Named (though in the latter case, since this site has nothing to do with Voodoo, I think that we are safe!)

I will check to see if I still have OffRhod's phone numbers and, if so, I'll give him a ring.

Should Shadow show up, I'm pretty sure we can handle him. Should Cat show up, I'm not so sure we can, but he's welcome. Should Pinocchio show up, I suggest we all start a bonfire.

I had completely forgot about Kimple!

There were other periodic blights in the Mutthaboard era, but He Who Shall Not be Named, Pinocchio and Kimple seem to stand out the most. Unless I have forgotten anyone -- though that is probably a good thing in this case.
