The only thing that you could do to help would be to move to Osceola and vote!

The odds are against me and the other challengers, since however frustrated many residents may be, getting them to vote is the problem. The existing board members will band together and get their network(s) to vote for each other. (Many of them have lived in Osceola for decades, so they have a definite advantage in knowing people.) But the fact that we are running sends a message that will hopefully be heard. And there are other members whose terms are up next year . . .

All good stories begin with an underdog. Even if you don't win, you can still succeed. Stick to your guns and good for you for having the balls to stand up for what you believe.

It is all about sending a message. Of course, knocking one of them off the board would be the ultimate message, but we shall see.

I get interviewed by the local paper on Friday afternoon. I will post the story when it eventually runs.

I interviewed with a reporter for the local paper today. Hopefully he does not make me look as stupid as I often make myself look.

There is a "meet the candidates" event on February 2nd, the primary is on the 5th, and the actual election is in April.

Indeed. To put in a good show, I have to attend all of the meetings up until the election. I was the only one at the last one, so we shall see if I am alone at tomorrow night's meeting.

Somebody already dropped out, so we are down to eight candidates (and three open positions.) Still have to have a primary to eliminate two more.
