True, but now I can spend my evening marvelling at the jargon.

Hence my tongue-in-cheek exclamation mark at the end of that statement.

I did indeed, but wanted to provide technical accuracy.

Technical accuracy, or pedanticism?

ups freight driver couldn't find where I lived so after a long ordeal today I finally have the quarter skins.

Steel seems about the same gauge as oem, No thicker no thinner. Part that wraps around by the tail lights seems rather oddly shaped, Might have to reuse that off of the existing panel. Panels seem to have the correct shape and look. Will know better when they get fitted.

Took 3 years to get the floors and strut tower in, Did them both in since the spring. I thought I was moving rather quickly on it.

I am going to have to do the hatch alignment while I am at it though. No point in putting new quarters if water is getting in there.

The Wisconsin DVV is a bit more organized than the California version.

Yeah huh, ...or if I wanted to play dirty I could rattle off a few hundred Vietnamese restaurant names within almost walking distance.

I would never have expected in a million years that any California resident would be sensitive about criticism of their DMV!

I've only been to one 3 times since '94, one time with my dad (and he caused more trouble than they did), ...maybe that's why I'm not jaded yet. I mail, or use AAA to deal with them typically.

No it's usually sunnier, so they are sweatier.

That's about right for when they open and at lunch time, in my area. You don't have to wait in that line if you have "business" to do with them that can be set up with an appointment.

I have not had to spend much time at the Wisconsin DMV, but it has gone quickly and smoothly when I have. Mind you, that was all before our current governor, who has been slashing and burning things including closing many DMV stations. (Which frankly is a mite suspect, since he pushed hard for restrictive voter I.D. requirements, THEN started making it harder to get an I.D.) They may well have longer lines now due to the closings.
